The Student American Veterinary Association (SAVMA) association is a student-run organization that acts as the umbrella organization for all of our student professional organizations. SAVMA funds student organizations within the college, sponsors seminars, speakers, conferences, and other learning opportunities that enable students to enhance their education outside of the classroom. Furthermore, the association provides annual scholarships for outstanding veterinary students, funds student veterinary projects that serve the Athens community, and supports efforts each year to advance patient care in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Georgia.
Auction is SAVMA’s main fundraiser. The student body and faculty of the College of Veterinary Medicine, their friends and family, members of the Athens community, and many members of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association from around the state attend the SAVMA auction. Items for the auction comprise of donations from within the college, from various veterinary food and drug corporations, and from businesses in the Athens community and across the country

Sales for the general public will begin on November 30th, 2017. There will only be 450 tickets, so don’t miss out! Tickets will be available here on the website and on campus at specific locations (TBA).
